Fall Lab / 4 credits
Locomotion & Power Output
An advanced lab on translating posterior chain strength into observed locomotion: stair drives, hill walks, jump landings, and load carries. The course pairs force-plate sessions with field protocols across the campus terrain.

Syllabus
- From hinge to drive — converting brace into propulsion
- Stair and incline force production
- Jump landing mechanics and decel control
- Loaded carries and trunk integrity under fatigue
- Field protocol design for the four houses
- Final force-plate and field report
Assessment
25% lab sessions, 25% field protocol design, 20% practical exam, 30% final report and defense.
