Posterior Chain Foundations
An introductory lab in the Backline Biomechanics & Locomotion department. Students study the glute complex, hamstrings, and lumbar bracing as a single working system, with weekly hands-on screening and field movement.

Syllabus
- Anatomy of the posterior chain — glute complex, hamstrings, calves
- Hip hinge, brace, and load transfer
- Stance width and pelvic position assessment
- Locomotion screening — walk, ascend, descend, carry
- Recovery, mobility, and tissue care
- Final practical exam and lab report
Assessment
30% lab notebooks, 25% screening practicum, 20% movement analysis, 25% final practical and report.
