Rave Wear, Revised
A studio course on reflective materials, festival-floor movement, belt bags, footwear, and campus-appropriate nightlife dress. Students design garments that survive the dance floor and read clean on Monday morning.
Syllabus
- Reflective material survey and color theory under low light
- Belt bag construction and load distribution
- Footwear: sweat, traction, and recovery
- Festival movement studies — sustained stance, jump, and pivot
- Translating nightlife silhouettes to campus-appropriate wear
- Final capsule critique under stage lighting
Assessment
35% studio garments, 20% material report, 15% field study journal, 30% final capsule critique.
